say hel[lo]

Lo

interjection \ˈlō\

  • —used to call attention to something or to show wonder or surprise

  • —an affectionate nickname

I've always loved being called "Lo". There's something about nicknames in general - a sweet sort of appreciation for someone that is awarded in the form of a shortened version of their name - that is perhaps one of the greatest gifts you could give. The name "The Lo Down" seemed fitting, as this site seeks to be a glimpse into my personal thoughts/musings/adventures, making it, quite literally, the Lo down.

I am a creative storyteller with a passion for cultivating community. I believe whole-heartedly in the power of a good story and the way that narrative has the power to shape society for the better, as well as the importance of having solid, strong relationships with others as we make our way in the world.

I suppose if you're looking for some sort of biography, these strung together words might grant you some semblance of who I am:

so-cal born and bred newyorker. jesus-lover. justice-fighter. coffee-addict. lipstick aficionado. writer. actress. singer. worship leader. songwriter. dancer. obsessive picture-taker. avid fruit-consumer.
